How can I get in touch with the Mayor and Council?
The Mayor and Council can be reached through the District Office. Letters can be sent to PO Box 609 Hope, B.C. V0X 1L0. E-mails can be sent to info@hope.ca or to individual members through our "Staff Contacts" page under the "Governance" tab. Those wishing to phone can call 604-869-5671. Residents are also encouraged to attend regular council meetings. Please consult the "Council Meeting Schedule" also under the "Governance" tab for meeting dates.

Hours of Operation:
8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday & Sunday.
Closed Statutory Holidays

Tipping Fees:
Garbage: $110.00 per metric tonne (1000/kg)
Wood Waste: $40.00 per metric tonne (1000/kg)(loads under 500 kg)
Wood Waste: $90.00 per metric tonne (1000/kg)(loads over 500 kg)
$3.00 per tire (passenger or light truck)
$15.00 per tire on rims or tire over 17”
$40.00 per tire over 17” on rims

E-Waste (Electronic Waste):
E-waste can be brought to the landfill free of charge. Those items include computers, monitors and televisions. The landfill will NOT accept as E-waste any monitors and televisions with broken screens. Those items are classed as garbage and are charged accordingly. Effective May 1, 2010, E-waste will no longer be accepted at the Public Works Yard. Please take all E-waste to the Hope landfill.

Logs, stumps, and land clearing debris cannot be taken to the landfill.
Metal ties are not allowed.
